Formerly the capital of Cornwall it is still a thriving town in the centre of Cornwall. Prominent locations are the Gaol and Bodmin Beacon. Nowadays many visitors know it as the start of the Camel Trail, a walk and cycle track to Padstow built on the site of a disused railway.
